A relative of terry towelling, French Terry features a short looped soft backing which gives it a lovely touch of warmth and also provides a wicking effect moving moisture away from the body.
Offering a soft smooth surface ensures embellishing, whether that be embroidering or adding appliques, can be completed with ease.
In terms of warmth, French Terry is on the lighter end of the 'Sweatshirting Scale' but is significantly heavier than t-shirt fabric. This makes it perfect for leisure wear, layering and more. For projects think light hoodies & sweaters through to dresses where t-shirting would be too light.
